What Does It Mean to be Empowered?

Attachment 1 1When I think about the word empowered I visualize a take no prisoner runner who is confident and has resolved in his body mind and spirit that there is no other option but victory no matter what the obstacles in their way. Past hurts, failures and unseen set backs will not deter this valiant warrior.

I hope that through every post and resource in this section will lead you to feeling stronger and more independent. As a Christian being empowered is not a biblical suggestion but it is sound biblical instruction.

Since God formed mankind He wired into them the ability to be empowered. Adam and Eve had a free will and were given the opportunity to do what God, their Father instructed or do what they wanted. God, also gives mankind the choice to be empowered or not. God has promised to give us the perfect measure of strength for each day.

1 Chronicles 29;12 informs Followers of Jesus that we “Can do all things through Christ who strengthens us”.All mankind has been given a choice (Deuteronomy 30:19)

The word empowered means to make someone stronger, more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights.

According to numerous research studies for a person to be empowered he or she typically experiences success in one or more of the following areas.

Hope for a better future
Choice: Having a Say in What Happens to them
Community: Feeling like they are a part of something larger
Freedom in thinking: They can make their own decision
Having a voice and having someone who authentically understands it
Experiencing a sense of progress
